iToyHauler, Issue #0411 -- You've been warned! March 30, 2011 |
| Spring Greetings! from Arizona, Well our first Winter of Snowbirding hasn't been without incidents. We blew the front right u-joint out on the truck at about the same time our generator was stolen. On that note I thought you might be interested in our experience with theft on the road. Read on... Also I'm passing along an off topic site that I've started using. Thought you might be interested too. And... One more new thing: Denise started a blog of our travels. Check it out at; My Honda EU1000 generator was Stolen! So we were parked at The Paridise Springs Casino in Indo, CA this last January enjoying summer in Winter. I'd taken the truck in to get the u-joint replaced, which went smoothly. On my way back Denise called to say our generator had been stolen. Yes it had a security cable and lock. The bad guys were well equiped, they cut the cable and made off with the generator while we were sitting in the RV. Can you say bold! After filing two police reports I got on the phone with our Good Sam insurance person. All I can say I was VERY impressed with the serice. We had just switched to Good Sam the month before, when we found out that State Farm would not cover us fulltime RVing. So here's how the insurance processed. Jan. 10th I placed a claim. On Jan. 12 I submitted a quote for the new generator. On Jan. 13th I had a check in hand. WOW! Claim to Check 4 days! Not only did Good Sam Ins. pay for a new generator, but the security cable, lock, and power adapter that were also taken. If you want to create loyaty in a customer this is how it's done!
