iToyHauler, Issue #0610 -- Summer Daze! June 10, 2010 |
| Summer Greetings! Here comes Summer! Finally it looks like we are going to warm up here in the Great Northwest. It's been a long cold and wet spring. I'm looking forward to actually RVing and playing with the Toys more than ever. Cabin-fever will definitely makes you appreciate the nicer weather. :) If there is any information you would like to see on the iToyHauler site, drop me a note and I'll see if I can include your request in the next site update. Tip: If you haven't done your Spring "pre-flight" check list for your RV, do note over look it. Problems are much easier to deal with at home than a hundred miles from any services. Spend a little time now and enjoy your RV trip latter. $: Are you looking to save a buck or two? CampingWorld is now offers "flat rate" shipping, check it out here. Camping World! Idea: Have you heard of GeoCaching? It's a great low tech/high tech hobby you can do anywhere, anytime. We've been doing it since 2003 and have found over 350 caches so far. A word of caution: This hobby can be very addicting! We know several cachers that have found thousands of caches. There's fun a introductory video and tons of information on the GeoCaching.com website. Take a look, it's a great way to fill your days when not riding the Toys. Hint 1: When towing a Travel Trailer Toy Hauler, be mindful of the tongue weight. Toy Haulers typically have much higher tongue loads than conventional trailers. When in doubt consult your "trusted" RV service provider. QandA: Question: What's the number one reason for tire failure during the hot Summer months? Answer: Under-inflation! When combined with high pavement temperatures, you have a recipe for an unpleasant event. I don't know about you, but I would rather take the time to check the pressures at home, than try to change a tire on a hot day, alongside a busy freeway. Again check with your RV service guy if you are not sure what the pressures should be. That's all for now. It's time to pack up for a trip to Anna Reservoir this weekend. I hear there's some big bass to be caught! :)
