iToyHauler, Issue #005 -- RV Season is Here!
April 16, 2009
Hi

Well the good news; it's finally spring here in Central Oregon. The bad news; I've been putting off getting the RV ready for the season. Hopefully you're thinking farther ahead than I am. But if not here's a couple important items to ad to your Spring check list.

1st make sure your assets are covered. Many of you are familiar with the Good Sam Club, but did you know they offer an "Extended Service Plan RV Warranty." It's available for most RV's. And will turn "Where am I going to get the money to pay for this repair?" into a minor inconvenience and get you back on the road where you and I belong. Summer is too short in Oregon to spend it in the RV repair shop.

The choice is yours! You can carry on hoping your Trailer never breaks down and then be forced to shell out thousands of dollars to repair it when it finally does. Or, you can let someone else pay to fix your RV! (Yes, it's true — there's someone else who WILL pay for your RV repairs!)

Did you know that the average Trailer owner has to fork out $1,479.31* to repair a mechanical breakdown on their RV? These days in this tough economy, that's not pocket change!

What's worse, a major repair to your Trailer is something you can never prepare for — and it's NEVER a financially convenient time to have your RV break down. So, why gamble with your hard–earned savings? Let Good Sam pay for your repairs — they WANT to!

2nd get the supplies and upgrades you need now. Do it before the weather temps you to hit the road. You will avoid frustration, delays, and side trips to get those items you forgot before leaving home if you get them now.

This is also a great time to ad any improvements you've been wanting to do. The roof of an RV can get horribly hot, even on a mild day. So I like to get up there now and check the condition of the roof, clean it and install whatever new gadget I've found that I can't live without.

I'm a Presidents Club member of Camping World and have always appreciated they're quality service and great selection. Plus it's just fun the browse the store if you get near one.

I'm think'n more Solar panels, 2 more AGM batteries, and a central vac. Looks like I need to get busy. :-)
