Toy Hauler RV Types
Toy Hauler
RV’s come in two basic flavors; trailers and motorhomes. Trailers can be
further sub grouped into; tent trailers, travel trailers, and 5th
wheel trailers. (And C5-A cargo airplanes for hauling your military toys.)
I cannot tell you which is the best to suit your
needs. What I can do, is give you the basics of each flavor to get you headed
in the right direction. Then you should talk to other Toy Hauler owners. Find out
what they do like and don’t like about their Toy Hauler RV, then plan a trip or
two to RV
shows to gather plenty of information to help with your decision. I'm partial to
collecting a bag full of brochures that I can mull over at home without the salesman hovering
nearby.
There are a lot of choices to be made
when deciding on the perfect Toy Hauler. However, the basic type will be
determined by:
·
How many people you need to feed and sleep.
·
How big and powerful your tow vehicle is.
·
How much room your toys require when parked tightly together.
·
And just how much "cush" your "tush" requires.
Clicking on
the blue links below will open to a separate window with more information about
each style of Toy Hauler. Simply close that window to return here.
Tent Trailer:
Being relatively small, light, and hmm...cheap, they are often the place to
begin when you have a young family or are the rugged-hunter type.
Travel Trailers:
Next on the
evolutionary ladder is the Travel Trailer. A step up in both size and
price.
5th Wheel Trailers:
Okay, now
we’re talk’n big, roomy and comfy. You’ll need both a fat wallet and heavy-duty tow
rig.
Motorhomes:
Yes, Virginia,
they do make a motorhome Toy Hauler. You can take the toys and
still tow the BMW.
The
Specialty Toy Hauler RV:
Do you -- race
toys, operate a mobile business, or need to haul a bunch of stuff to that
distant flea market? Be sure to check out those versions of Toy Haulers, too!
Now the fun
begins -- Go do some shopping!
